Hillcroft Surgery Supplies

We initially reviewed Hillcroft’s existing codebase with a view to expanding upon it to be able to deliver the new functionality that they so desperately wanted. We’re used to hitting the ground running on existing code however once we had carried out our preliminary review we advised that it was in their best interests to move away from the old bespoke CMS from a previous agency that hadn’t received any updates for a number of years in favour of building their own platform from the ground up.

Hillcroft were already using 3rd party management software to handle all their stock, pricing and order fulfilment which meant that their new website needed to be able to handle syncing data with this system. We built scheduled importers that handled XML files sent from the existing system and processed them to ensure that the site was always up to date. The previous site was using the same XML files to push orders to their backend every 15 minutes however we were able to move these to use updated API requests meaning that orders are now instantly reflected in their management software.

After the initial rebuild of the website we worked alongside their new development team to create the new features that had originally been requested which included integrating new 3rd party monitoring systems for clients.

Victoria Plum

We came on board to support their frontend teams, having helped with their frontend build during the previous year which meant that we already had in-depth knowledge of how their systems worked. We hit the ground running developing the architecture for their frontend pattern library as well as working closely with the DevOps team to help create build pipelines and deployment scripts to ensure a fast workflow through to production.

We worked with Victoria Plum for 2 years whilst the transformation took place to ensure a smooth transition to their newly recruited in-house team of developers as well as seeing features through from the design phases to live deployment.

Internet Fusion Group

Internet Fusion Group came to us initially looking for a fresh set of eyes to oversee another agency who were part way through rebuilding their portfolio of websites in to a React single page application. We spent this initial 2 month phase being the technical link between developers and the executive team to help progress the project and offer support to their in house frontend team.

After multiple delays and a realisation that the solution being built would be costly to maintain with their existing teams knowledge along with the lack of thought for SEO, it was decided that the best way forward was to begin development in house for a Laravel powered application.

Internet Fusion’s existing development team had strong knowledge of building Laravel e-commerce applications so we managed to hit the ground running, and with our support building a reusable frontend that would work across their portfolio of websites, managed to get the first site Surfdome.com launched within 3 months. After the success of this initial site we then worked building frontends for more of their portfolio, launching on average a new site every month.

Once the replatforming was completed we remained on hand supporting Internet Fusion with adding new features and enhancements to the websites as well as continuing our work advising the executive team on the platform moving forward.

Tentsile

Tentsile were recommended to us as they were looking for Shopify development to help with some technical requests made by their SEO agency. We undertook the initial work which involved improving page speed and cumulative layout shift to help boost their PageSpeed scores.

After seeing improvements in their speed we were then given the task of restructuring their information pages so that owners and prospective buyers could find information on their products easily. This involved creating new blocks in Shopify that could be reused across multiple pages to build out their blog and knowledge hub. These pages are now handled by their in-house marketing team with new and existing pages easily maintainable.

In 2024 a number of speed improvements were requested however we suggested that a rebuild of the site could actually be the financially preferential solution for them. Their existing theme had been built on a 3rd party template which had seen a number of improvements since their original site had been built and by utilising the latest version of this we were able to deliver a number of upgrades to the Tentsile website without high development costs.
